Although the U9's lost this game it really was a good performance by every member of the team. As we have a healthy squad of 12 players I was able to pick 2 teams for today, 1 per half. All the lads put in a real shift and we were pleased to see the determination and passion showed from the first minute to the last, the 4-1 defeat really doesn’t tell the whole story.

Not just hard work though, there were some great spells of passing and a few nice tricks & turns which were enjoyed by the excited crowd! The highlight was the excellent team goal scored by Ben Evans in the first half, there were 4 or 5 good passes in the build up to the goal which gave us an early lead.

Banwell played well and scored some good goals but we didn’t let our heads drop which was good to see.

Man of the match this week goes to.....nope can’t choose, all 12 lads played brilliantly and should be very proud of themselves!

Bring on Backwell in our next friendly on 25th August. Come on you Worle!!
