Serious injury to B Team keeper Dave Warner meant the results on Saturday played second fiddle...

The First Team bounced back from two defeats to secure a point against second placed Merrow in what was only there fourth home game of the season. Assistant manager Nick Tegg finally got off the mark with Craig Moore also on the score sheet.

The Reserves Team made it three wins on the bounce with a superb 5v0 win away at Shottermill & Haslemere. Watkins got two pens, Norm two great strikes and R Harmes got the other.

The A Team suffered at the hands of Chobham Burymead A's going down 4v2 against a side packed with players from the SILW but it was events at Mayford that cast a shadow on the day for the Phoenix.

With the score at 1v1 Dave landed awkwardly having taken a routine cross. Clearly in a world of trouble an ambulance was called and the big man loaded in. X rays later revealed that unfortunately Dave has done the full house - a double leg break plus a broken and dislocated ankle.

Everyone at the clubs wishes Dave a speedy recovery.
