Mark "Willy" Wilson set for 1000th league game at Park Road

Worsbrough Bridge AFC take a step into the unknown at Park Road on Saturday 18 November as they welcome league new comers East Yorkshire Carnegie visit Park Road.

Although the challenge of the East Yorkshire side is a new challenge, a familiar face to non league supporters is set for his 1000th appearance as Mark Wilson looks set to step out on the Park Road turf and accomplish a very personal career milestone.

Both teams go into the game on the back of heavy away defeats. The Briggers were well beaten by Campion last time out after a poor second half display (6-0), and the visitors come to Park Road on the back of a heavy defeat against mid-table Glasshoughton Welfare on Tuesday night.

Carnegie currently sit in 14th place with 24 points from their 20 games and have an away record of 1 win, 2 draws, and 5 defeats.

Worsbrough Bridge sit in 19th place after their opening 18 games and are without a home win so far and have scored just 1 goal. With games away at Swallownest and home to Ollerton Town in the next couple of weeks Briggers boss Lee Morris will be hoping for a confidence boosting win as he attempts to move Worsbrough away from the bottom 2 places in NCEL Division 1.
