High Aspirations As Squad Starts To Take Shape

Joyce announces new signings

Worsbrough Bridge Athletic Manager Mark Joyce has this week confirmed the clubs first signings at the start of an exciting period for the club.

Joyce is currently in the early stages of building the club since coming in over the summer after being appointed manager by new chairman Wayne Radford.

Joyce stated ‘We are looking to make progress on and off the pitch, building a development squad from our young up and coming players as well as adding experienced seniors with our current squad’
‘The club is looking to play high quality attractive football and has high aspirations for the future’

This comes on the back of the season’s first signings as several players commit to the club:

Craig Goodyear re-joins the club from the Hilton era.
Callum Ward, the experienced Evo-stick player has joined the club.
Former Under 19s player Ollie Fearon has signed with the club, Ollie left the club a few years ago to join Frickley Athletic before moving onto other clubs finishing last season at NCEFL Premier club Maltby Main.
Andrew Broadbent and Andy Taylor have committed to the club for another season along with former Sheffield FC and Hallam player Miles Ridall.
The club also welcome former Aquaforce players Matt Dawes and Olly Green to Park Road.

The new signings are the first of a number of new targets as the Briggers look to build a squad to challenge for promotion.
