‘It’s all about development’ is the key message the club and Club Chairman, Jonathan Cotterill-Bolsover, will be pushing this pre-season as the Briggers set out their long term plans for the future.
Young, promising players will be developed through a new ‘philosophy blueprint’ for future success as will young up and coming coaches who are already dedicating time and effort to grow the club.
Cotterill-Bolsover stated ‘The future is looking good for the Briggers, young players are coming through the ranks and we are starting to see that success and the hard work that has gone into it. Players from the Under 19s championship winning side a couple of years ago have worked and matured into quality seniors, many of which took our reserve side to the semi-final of the cup’
The new club philosophy will be put into the club for the up and coming pre-season which will also see new key professionals coming on board to work with players including physios, nutritionists, performance analysts and others that will be there to aid players and support performance as well as extending education through the club.

The club will also start to work with young up and coming coaches, some of which are already out there coaching the juniors, giving further training and education to enhance the coaching set up at Park Road.
Cotterill-Bolsover ‘The days are gone when we should be switching and changing every season, the time for development is now, we have players in the club that are Worsbrough through and through and are more than worth the time and effort to be developed into great players that will leave an imprint on the history of the club’
‘We will help players achieve their personal goals both on and off the field and guide them wherever we can, there are clear opportunities to work with all the staff to build this club on many many fronts and it will be a real testament if the very players and staff we have are the very people that build the future’
One thing is for sure, these are exciting times for the Briggers.
