Michael Dugher has announced that he will stand down as Barnsley East at the forthcoming General Election and will also relinquish his role as Club Patron.

Mr Dugher said " I want to take the opportunity to thank you for giving me the privilege of being your Patron and wish you all the best for the future. Best regards to everyone involved at the club"

We would like to place on record our appreciation to Mr Dugher for agreeing to become our patron and thank him for his hard work and support during the last year.

We wish Michael and his family best wishes for the future.
