The main role of the press officer is to look after local press officials at home matches and to write a match report for all home games at Park Road. Travel to away matches will also be required and expenses paid.

You will also be required to form a working relationship with the main media/newspaper companies in Barnsley and surrounding areas, sending those copies of press releases and match reports.

The position is an ideal opportunity to gain some valuable experience in sports journalism. The ideal candidate should have a sound working knowledge of writing reports for football matches and artistic flair for the written word.
