Millmoor 0 - 3 Worsbrough

In what manager Mark Joyce described as a 'professional performance', the Bridge Reserves went through to the last 16 of the league cup.

Coming into the game, the sqaud was on a run of 4 games unbeaten but were still missing skipper Sam Keene and lost striker Ash Betts to injury giving 3 in 3 striker Jack Sutton a start.

Players and supporters may have been forgiven for thinking they had turned up to a junior game with the Millmoor pitch being perhaps the smallest pitch that the team will ever be likely to play on with the centre circle just 8 paces from the D.

The game went mainly the way of Millmoor - for all of about 5 minutes - before the Briggers took control and dominated the game. The football at times was beautiful to watch from the sidelines with pasing sequences up to 20 one and two touch movements at a time.

3 times the Briggers hit the back of the net, but were perhaps unlucky not to have hit more.

The coaching staff looked on in awe as the Bridge controlled the match and progress through to the next round.

Afterwards Manager Mark Joyce exclaimed his joy at the profesionalism his players showed through the game and his desire to chase promotion and advance in the cup competitions.
