The FA Charter Standard Charter Standard
The FA Charter Standard is a kite mark scheme operated by the FA to promote high standards within grassroots football clubs. There are three levels to the scheme ; Club, Development Club and Community Club. At each stage clubs need to maintain set criteria concentrated around good coaching, administration and child welfare.

Worthing Town Football Club is the only Charter Standard Community Club in Worthing and one of only 12 in the whole of Sussex. The FA describes Charter Standard Community Clubs in the following terms:

Community Clubs, the pinnacle of the club development pathway, will be those that have a high quality, multi-team (minimum of 10 teams) set up with excellent social, training and playing opportunities for all.
