Club Events
On the 30th March 2012 the Rugby Football Union in partnership with Wortley Rugby Union Football Club would like to invite your school to the 1st primary school open invite Wortley RUFC Tag Festival.
The aim of the Festival is to recruit young players for the thriving junior section at Wortley RUFC. Pupils in Y5 & Y6 boys and girls are invited to compete in group stage festival and hopefully make it to the finals where there will be medals up for grabs for the winners. The festival will kick off at 1pm and finish around 3pm, schools are asked to turn up at 12.30 for registration.
Leading up to the festival four one hour free sessions will be on offer to any school interested with the agreement they will participate in the festival. Delivering these sessions will be a fully qualified RFU Community Coach who is able to deliver during or after school. Coaches from Wortley RUFC will also be offering a number of voluntary free coaching sessions for any school interested. Delivery will be offered on a first come first served basis as there is only a select amount of time in the diary. All coaches have valid CRB and have coaching qualifications.
