Wycombe Ladies have been busy during the summer even though it is the off season. They entered a local 6 a side league, seeing it as a good opportunity to integrate their new signings into the squad. Debuts were given to Zoe Gould, Steph McDaid, Emma Newbury, Lou White and Hannah Banyard all of which made an immediate impact with many of them scoring their first goals for the clubs. It also gave them the opportunity to play with some of Wycombe’s more established players such as Ellie Searle, Nicola Kirk, Lauren Head, Kim Bignall, Captian Charlotte Bagshaw and Rebecca Gooch who picked up the Manager's Player of the Tournament after a number of fine displays.
Having recently been promoted to the Southern Region First Division, Manager Andrew Morten said “ I’m looking forward to the new challenge that the Southern Region will bring. Having finished 3rd in the tournament and only just missing out on the medals we are feeling confident that we are not there to just make up the numbers but to compete and challenge for honours”.
