ALAN TERRY & GREAT BRITAIN MASTERS HEAD FOR AUSTRALIA
On Sunday, Wyke Rugby Clubs President, Alan Terry, jetted off from Manchester airport on the 2nd Great Britain Masters Tour to Australia en route for Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney.

The tour will take in four club venues plus the international game against Australia and finishes with the NRL Grand Final.

Pine River Masters and Brighton Roosters Masters are first up in Brisbane before the tour party moves down to Southport on the Gold Coast.

Brisbane Old Boys and Capalaba Invitation XIII Masters are the games on the second stage of the tour.

The tourist move down to Sydney, based in Manly Beach for the third part of the tour.

Games with Narrabeen Sharks and Manly are followed by evening games at Riverstone Razorbacks on the return from a trip to the Blue Mountains.

The International will be played at Cabramatta Rugby League Club on the final Saturday of the tour.

Alan is joined by players from across the country, from Sussex to Cumbria from Leeds, via Wyke to Warrington and all points inbetween!

“Who would have thought that at our stage of life we would still be looking forward to the next game, we could still strive for representative honours, we would have a great post-match social life and would wake up the morning following a game not knowing whether the aches and pains or the hangover is the most painful!,” commented Peter McGuinness already a GB Masters International in 2014.

The tour was advertised as “the trip of a lifetime.”

The greatest feeling coming away from this tour should be that it was worth every penny ….and more.

Everything has been meticulously planned to ensure that this happens.
