Wyke are now looking forward to a long summer break, the club are also looking to recruit a new coaching team for the winter 2014-15 season....

Wyke 1st team staved off relegation from Division One with a final day draw at home to Allerton Bywater, by 20 points apiece.

Wyke’s try scorers were Sam Kittsen, Daniel Stocks, Aaron Priestley and Warren Pitman, with the man of the match points going to veteran Simon Owen, Tim Stones and Gareth Wood.

Wyke are now looking forward to a long summer break, the club are also looking to recruit a new coaching team for the winter 2014-15 season, if you feel you have the ability and time to commit to developing the two open age teams, with five junior teams to complement the club, then please phone Jason Whomack on 07774 429351.

Wyke Under 16’s beat Hull Wyke at Hull by 22 points to 16, the try scorers were Jordan Payton, Tevin Campbell, Ryan Brook and Calvin Barker. Alec Williams kicked three of the four conversions. The man of the match points went to Owen Fox, Toby Stanley and Adam Smith.

Wyke under 12’s entertained Underbank Rangers on Saturday eventually running out victorious by 10 points to 6. Both of Wyke’s tries were scored by hooker Dawson Birkett, with one of them being converted by Joe Ockerby. The man of the match accolade went to Dawson Birkett, opposition man of the match to Creddy Taylor, the top tackler award went to Lewis Adams and coach’s award went to the whole team.

Wyke Under 9’s travelled to Meltham on Sunday and also drew, this time the score was 36 points a-piece Jake Rayner 4, Riley Firth 3, Joseph Fynn and Reece Broadbent.
The man of the match Jake and Riley, Top Tackler Joseph and opposition man of the match was Dylan Frith.

Wyke Under 7’s travelled to Stanley to take on Stanley Rangers. The team travelled with 11 men and had 3 good games of rugby. They ended the tournament having the result as a draw, but the performances from individuals are getting better in every game.

Parents Man on the matches went to Alfie Barraclough, Andrew Parkin and Charlie McShera. Top tacklers awards went to Alfie Barraclough, Toby Briggs and Lucas Range-Bennett, and Coaches award went to Harrison Cain.
