This week Wyke entertained a young West Bowling A. Wyke had, go forward prop, Warren Pitman out through injury.
West Bowling started strong scoring two converted tries to give Bowling a 12-0 lead. Bowling added another try later on to make the score 16-0 due to the missed conversion. Bowling added a two point penalty to put Bowling up 18-0. Until Ian Wormald
powered his way over the line for the first Wyke try. Kittsen added the two to make the half-time score 18-6.
Wyke started strong in the second-half when winger Kyle Staunton
miraculously pounced on a bouncing grubber. The conversion was missed to make the score 18-10. Then Stevie Richardson
ripped through the Bowling defence to start the Wyke come back. The conversion was missed to make the score 18-14. Then Stevie Richardson
grabbed his second of the match to bring Wyke back into it. The conversion was missed to make the full-time score 18-18.
Next weekend Wyke will travel to Kippax for what should be a tough encounter.
