Player Interview: Richard Conlon
This week we interview Richard Conlon, 1st XV Flanker and the man voted most frustrating by the opposition
What position do you play?
Open side flanker along with the position of chief moaner apparently! In which I am proud
Which team do you play for?
1st team
How old were you when you started playing?
I think it was about 14-15 with the lads from The International School and Community College East Birmingham
What do you like to do outside of rugby?
Spending time with bec, family and friends and occasionally going to the gym – but that doesn’t really happen very often if you didn’t notice. I also enjoy buying the lads a drink on a sat cause there all tight bastards! ;-) [;-)]
Favourite Drink?
I am a big fan of council pop but failing that a nice Jack Daniels and coke on special occasions – or even a lager! (if the budget allows)
Favourite Food?
Moms Sunday dinner is always special!
Your favourite moment in your career to date?
There’s been a few.. the highlight would have to be playing in a successful team in both the league and cup in a single season!
Who is the?
Longest in the shower?
Gok wan – Barnett aka bear .. looks like that take efforts apparently!
Most skillfull?
Theres a few - Gary Hykin has been known to get a bit lucky from time to time…
Hardest Trainer?
Lee Connor or Super Ted (undecided)
Worst Dressed?
Its close between Connor Reidy, Sean O’Sullivan and Bob the gardner all equal
Biggest Moaner?
I’d like take this opportunity to point out that I am not the biggest moaner and that everyone is wrong. I understand this maybe a little difficult to understand for you lower IQ guys. But your all overlooking the biggest moaner SEAN O’SULLIVAN thank you and goodnight ;-) [;-)]

Best Player you have ever played with?
When I first started I remember playing with James Moran. This guy was playing above his age group and still stood out every game. Respect’o to Jim class player!
Hardest to tackle?
Tom Burrows.. Now you see him now you don’t..
Most committed?
Easiest question .. Lloyd Winters!
