YnD back to winning ways

Responding to the demands of a bonus point win, YnD were in no mood to show Tenbury any favours.

Straight from the kick off, the forwards carried on their good work of the past few weeks, dominating the breakdowns, taking control of the scrums through Carl “Del” Delany and Jermaine T and looking to steal lineout ball where possible.

Ryan Harris marked his return from injury with a strong run, 25mtrs? 30mtrs ? to crash over for the first score of the day

5-0

James Kennie, having won the mid week kicking contest slotted over a penalty after Tenbury infringed at the breakdown

8-0

With Big T, adding some weight and skill to the front row, the Tenbury pack couldn’t cope with the power at scrum time and Leigh Griffin controlled the ball well at the back of the scrum as the pack drove forward and touched down for the score, James K kicking the “2”

15-0

Half time, saw a demand from the coach, two more tries, to secure the bonus point.

Lee Conner, benefitted from some strong running in the backs as Adam Knight and Liam Barnett ran strong lines at the defence, with a dramatic dive to score the try.

23-0

Paul S at scrum half was running the show, launching the forwards running hard through the 10/12 channel, with Gus and Ant Hughes making some big gains.

Following some good recycling from Dale S and Jason Harris asking questions of the Tebury back 3, Ant Hughes was once again in the right place at the right time to go over for the touchdown.

28-0

Tenbury were visibly tiring as the heavy pitch and heavyweight attacks from YnD took their toll.

Some more good interplay in the backs saw Paul S break through and offload to Justin Kearns, who ran a good line off his wing to go over for the last score of the day.

35-0
