Yarnbury go down to their 3rd loss on the trott this time at the hands of Ilkley

Yarnbury came into their game against Ilkley with two losses in the past two weeks and once again Yarnbury failed to win. Ilkley started the strongest and spent time down in Yarnbury's half and came away with the first points with an early penalty. It wasn't too long after that when the first try of the game was scored and it was some poor Yarnbury line defence and great strength by the Ilkley scorer that gave them with conversion a 10-0 lead. Yarnbury started to get back into the game but with a handling error high up the pitch Ilkley broke free and some great support play lead to the Ilkley number 11 score underneath the posts for an easy kick and Ilkley were leading 17-0.
Yarnbury put the pressure on but on the brink of half time a bad injury to Yarnbury's No 8 Chris Denton to his back had the game at a stand still for a fair while. Chris was shortly after taken to hospital. We wish him the best and a speedy recovery.
The referee on that note blew up for half time with the score 17-0 to Ilkley. Yarnbury then had the wind in their favour but started badly with the kick off failing to reach 10 metres. Straight away Yarnbury were back under pressure and Ilkley increased their lead with another try to make the score 22-0. Yarnbury down but not out didn't give up but nothing came off for them with handling errors and loss ball lead to Ilkley once again ran from distance and attacked a back tracking Yarnbury defence and went in for another score and it was a 27-0 lead which Ilkley had going into the last 15 minutes of the game.
Yarnbury did though grab themselves a try with a break down the middle of the field and offload set up Cameron Morton who still had a lot to do but did it well and went in next to the posts which was then converted. This gave Yarnbury some confidence and not 5 minutes after his first try Cameron Morton added his second try from 10 yards out and from the same position the conversion was added again and it was 27-14. Yarnbury had their tails up and attacked Ilkley again but with a speedy break again and some terrific support play Ilkley gave themselves a comfortable lead again at 32-14. Yarnbury though heads still up got themselves another respectable 3rd try with Jonny Lines with a try out wide but it was Ilkley's day and they ran out deserved winners 32-19 leaving Yarnbury with a lot to think about.
