We are moving .....

This is the next step on our path for successful future
- Sarah Foley, Club Chairman

Hi all

I know a lot of you have been asking about changes that we discussed at the AGM and what progress has been made with the Astroturf Project.

Well the reason that we haven't told you anything is that there isn't that much to report. The Exec committe only made a final decision a week ago that we would start to use the clubhouse facilities at Eversley from the beginning of the season. The Astroturf Project is still awaiting the final clearance to start the build.

Some of you may know that we are actually going back to where we were before we moved to Yateley. This is where Eversley Sports Association is located, along with Eversley Cricket Club and Californian Football Club, so we are now members of the ESA along with these other 2 clubs. The facility is huge and has huge potential, not just with the astroturf, but additional projects on the land.

The reason we made this decison to relocate at the beginning of the season is twofold. Firstly, this is where our Astroturf Pitch will eventually be built. Secondly, we only have one move, rather than 2 and it is the beginning of the season which makes sense.

The address of the our new home is Eversley Sports Association, Reading Road, Hartley Witney, Eversley Cross, Hampshire RG27 0NS. It is basically, on the Reading Road towards Eversley and directly opposite the Frog & Wicket Pub on the right hand side. Beware as the entrance is a bit bumpy. There is another entrance down Fox Lane, or follow the signs to Eversley Sports Association and drive towards the large Indoor Cricket Centre. There is a small bridge to get you to the clubhouse.

As we explained at the AGM, it was not an easy decision to leave Sean Devereaux Park, but we would have to leave at some point, and we felt that the beginning of the season was the right time to go, as was agreed at the AGM by all but a few.

I apologise that we have been a bit quiet with regards to information but it is a tough call to either flood you with "no news yet", or only give you news when there is news.

We look forward to seeing you all down there soon!

Many thanks

Sarah

YHC Chairman.
