PREVIEW: Winchester City v Yate Town

3 weeks ago By Sebastian Parker

Yate Town manager Polly is looking for a response from the lads on the back of last weekend's defeat against Barnstaple.

Yate tasted defeat for the first time in the league this season, last weekend. A 2-1 loss at Lodge Road against an in-form Barnstaple, but it was a game of missed chances for the Bluebells which ultimately cost us getting anything out of the game.

Two key players return to the squad this weeked with captain Nick Peare back from suspension and Mayson Evans available for selection.

Winchester were also defeated last weekend as well as in mid-week, and will also be looking to bounce back. In fact despite a very strong start to the campain for tomorrow's host who had 3 straight wins, they have now not won in 7.

With both teams looking for a response, its sure to be a very entertaining game!

Team News:
Nick Peare returns from suspension.

Mayson Evans also returns after missing last weekend.

David Sims-Burgess is back in training but will miss tomorrow.

Polly's View:
"This is a really important game after our loss last Saturday. We created enough opportunities to win 3 games during the 90 minutes but full credit to Barnstaple who, with a little luck defended really well. We will have to be much more clinical in front of goal at Winchester to gain to positive result we hope to achieve".
