Well done to Dean, Paul and all the players in the under 11's for a fine report in today's Middlesex FA Newsletter.

Grassroots clubs continue to set high standards of behaviour
The various Middlesex FA County Cup competitions are hotting up, but the standard of on-pitch behaviour remains high, according to the reports we are receiving from referees across the County.
Take this comment from referee Seamus Gaughan, who had described the Under-14 Cup tie between Kodak Youth and Staines Lammas Youth as "A very enjoyable game to referee both teams accepted the referee's decisions without any complaints. Well done to both teams."
In the Jimmy Dyson Under-15 Cup sponsored by Mark Harrod Ltd , Spartans Youth edged out Pitshanger Youth. Referee Michael Lewis reports: "A good, competitive game played in good spirit, by both teams. Both teams, managers and sets of fans were respectful. The players were exemplary in their behaviour on the field and it was a pleasure refereeing this match. Both clubs should be lauded for the ethos they are trying to instil at their respective clubs."
In the Under-13 Cup, the match between Kempton Park Rangers and Wingate & Finchley (Youth) was described by referee Matthew Swinburn as "a very good, competitive game with no problems"
The Under-11 Cup Third Round tie between Foxes and Yeading HEW was described by match referee Mary Byrne as "a wonderful, well balanced match with wonderful skill displayed by both teams. It was an absolute pleasure to have been appointed as the Match Official for this game."
The Third Round of the Under-16 Cup saw John Fowler take charge of Wingate & Finchley (Youth) v Staines Town Juniors - a match he called "a sporting game played by both teams, with all respect activities in place", while on the same day Wingate & Finchley (Youth) v Kensington Dragons in the Under-18 Cup was called "a great game with both teams a credit to their clubs" by referee Mike Heavey.
The positive trend is not limited to Youth Football. Yesterday's Veterans Cup Quarter Final between Kingsbury Town and Hanworth Villa was a "competitive game of football, especially in the first half and played in a sporting manner." Referee Derek Carter called it "an enjoyable game to referee". An earlier tie, between Spelthorne Sports and North Greenford United was "a good game played in exactly the correct spirit" according to referee John Biffen.
Similarly, last week's Sunday Junior Trophy tie between Heathrow Club and Churchbury was described by referee Herpal Chahal as a "very, very good game. Both captains had full control of their players, both teams did well and displayed good discipline. Additionally, there were no issues with supporters." In the same competition, Panathinaikos and London Irish were praised by referee Barry Kyriacou for producing a "good sporting game".
Mark Sellars described his recent Saturday Intermediate Cup tie between Spelthorne Sports and Kodak as "an excellent game of football with good banter and both teams/supporters in excellent voice. It was a pleasure to referee these two teams."
We congratulate all of these clubs for setting high standards of on-field behaviour and will continue to celebrate the ongoing improvement in the standard of behaviour throughout grassroots football in Middlesex.
