Acorn under 9’s have been improving with every game they play however their winning run came to an end against a strong Siddal side boasting 16 players.
However their resolve was to battle hard and prevent Siddal from scoring too many tries whilst working hard to breakdown the oppositions defence to get across the try line themselves. This effort was justified when at half time the score was 2 tries each. Unfortunately with superior numbers Siddal where able to bring on fresh legs and ultimately the guard was broken and Siddal finished stronger.

Its always difficult to select outstanding performances from such a good team effort, but man of the match was Ethan Sutcliffe, supported by Coaches Player, Luke Powell. Harry Sawyer was strong in defence achieving the top tackler award and this weeks most improved player was Mark Winn, one of the newest members of the team.
