Acorn slumped to their second defeat of the season at Milford. It took until well into the second half before the blue and golds really got going and from that point were always chasing the match. Milford opened the scoring on 14 minutes when some good backing up from Aaron Jones-Bishop saw him open the scoring, a lot of the game was been played in centre field with few chances for either side and it took until the 38th minute when Jones Bishop capitalised on slack Acorn defence to go under the posts, Acorn had a let off when Ryan Oxtoby missed the goal from right in front. Acorn's performance did improve in the second half Nick Caldwell got Acorn in the game on 48 minutes when he used all his power to get over, Anthony Chilton goaled for 8 points for 6. The match continued to be nip and tuck but Acorn were having better field position. The game breaker came on 74 minutes when after a scrum and a quick play the ball hooker. Josh Parle galloped 40 yards to score, Oxtoby goaled. It wasn't all over though John Waldron came off the bench to crash over on 78 minutes. Acorn through everything into the final minutes, continued pressure saw Caldwell held up over the line but it wasn't to be. Acorn's best in a scappy display were Aaron Thompson, Nick Caldwell Nick Speck
and Steve Mackley.
