At a recent meeting of the Yorkshire RFU Competitions Committee, it was discussed who should represent the County in next season`s RFU Intermediate Cup Competition.
By finishing in third place in Yorkshire 1, York RUFC was the highest Level 7 club - reaching the quarter final of the Yorkshire Shield, being beaten by the eventual winners Bridlington RUFC, which is now a level 6 Club.
They have therefore invited York RUFC as the Level 7 Club who will represent the County in the Intermediate Cup Competition.
Further details will follow as to who and when we will play.
After a 'round robin' first round, the winners of the group will play the winners of the North West group in what is the quarter final.
After this, it's the semis and a final at Twickenham!
Good Luck!!!
