Ystradgynlais Youth gave a good account of themselves against Ospreys Division B Champions Aberavon Green Stars.
The young Blues looked the better side first half and looked to switch the ball and play some positive rugby. Consistent attacking pressure lead to well deserved try for winger for the day Steffan Jones. Unfortunately too many final passes and missed kicks saw the Green Stars leading at the interval 13 points to 5.
Ystrad competed well for the first quarter of the second half but the Green Stars skill and power came through and ran in three tries in the final fifteen minutes to flatter their score line.
All round the youth team were competitive against one of the best sides within the Ospreys region. Commitment has come at a price with several injuries being picked up. A week in the ice baths for the boys.
Man of the match Captain Ioan Kemp.
It was a tough game but 'Easy Rugby' benefits no one but coaches ego's.
