New Dock Starts 0 Ystradgynlais 15

An injury plagued Ystrad team came away from New Dock with a deserved win.

A win was vital for the travelling Blues and it could have been so much more if first half if ball had gone to hand after some brilliant breaks. Centre Huw Rees managed to cut the Docks defensive line but was unable to find the right support at the right time.

Second half New Dock to their credit managed to slow the ball down and made life far more difficult for Ystrad. They starved possession for the flying Blues backs and managed to create some frustration.

There was superb defensive effort on show with so many players out of position and covering each other. A committed effort was evidently shown.

The Ystrad tries came from Matthew Owen and Emyr Addey. The scoring was completed by a penalty and conversion from points machine Celan Morgan.

A much needed win on the road.
