Patrick Swayze 1952-2009

AFC Keynsham are sorry to hear of the death of showbiz icon and general all round top bloke Patrick Swayze. The star of top motion pictures like Road House, Ghost, Dirty Dancing, and Donnie Darko and singer of maybe the greatest song ever "Shes like the wind" was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer in January 2008, Swayze told Barbara Walters a year later that he was "kicking it". However, he died from the disease just eight months afterwards.

Supports, Managmeant and Players will all join together in sending thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Swayze. Older Team members will remember singing "She's like the wind" after games at the Grange. AFCK players will be wearing black arm bands as a mark of respect in sundays cup fixture.
