Foundation: Trip to Conwy for the Foundation Phase squads

It was another busy saturday as the Foundation Phase squads made their way down the North Wales coast to play Conwy Borough.

The U9 were the first game to kick off on saturday and they continued their excellent recent run with a good 3-1 win in tough conditions.

Mark Allen's side battled well and took a foothold in the game towards the end with Morgan Davies, Rhys Hughes and an own goal winning the game for the young wingmakers.

The U10 went down 4-3 to their hosts in another game played in difficult conditions. Jack Seery's side led 3-0 thanks to goals from Aaron Cross, Charlie Urquhart and Alex Macfetters. But a stirring comeback from the young tangerines saw them score four goals without reply to win the game.

In the days final game, Lee Starkey and Colin Parsonage's U11 side squeaked through to win 5-4 in another enthralling game. Taylor Edwards bagged himself a brilliant brace to set the wingmakers on their way.
