Altrincham Kersal made the short trip to Clay Lane to play Bowdon in a key local derby match which was also a clash of the two top teams in the Lancs/Cheshire Division One.
Played in very wet and windy conditions both sides played a hard game with territory switching between them for the first quarter of the match.
Altrincham Kersal took the lead with a penalty which was followed soon afterwards with a penalty by Bowdon making the score 3-3.
Altrincham replied with a further penalty making it 3-6 at half time.
After the break Bowdon secured a second penalty to make the score 6-6. Both teams then shared possession for the remainder of the half with some good hard running and impressive defence work.
Altrincham had a last play of the match chance for a third penalty in the dying seconds but it went wide leaving the final score at 6-6 and honours equally shared.
Altrincham Kersal remain unbeaten in the league and maintain their five point lead.
Next week they host Leigh for the last match of 2018.
