Minis shine at Kingspan

Bangor Minis provide the half time entertainment at Kingspan.

Bangor P7s took to the pitch full of excitement to take on their counterparts from CIYMS during half time of the Ulster v Cheetahs, Guinness Pro 14 match at Kingspan Stadium.

The boys had been hugely excited since getting word of being asked to participate in this fixture, prior to the game they had a photo with one of Ulster’s 2017 Lions, Iain Henderson and also took part in the Guard of Honour to welcome the teams onto the pitch before kick-off.

The Bangor match was played at the memorial end of the ground and from kick off Bangor took it to their opponents showing some great skills in carrying and recycling the ball through several phases which allowed them to score an early try by Aran Kane whose brother Ross was on the pitch as one of the supporting Ulster players. Bangor’s impressive defence held out during the game to allow them to repel CI’s speedsters for a 1-0 victory.

This was a great performance by the players in front of many proud family members and hopefully this is not the last time we see these boys take to the field in Bangor colours.
