First of all, love and thoughts sent out to John Sharman and his family and a massive thanks to Lynn to do and bring the teas. Nev won the toss and chose to bat with a good batting line up. Bare missed out early on but both opening bowlers got there line. Whitfiled (4/39) then ripped through the top order of Bare. Oz (11) and Archy (28) the only batters offering slight resistance. A mini recovery from Nev (12) and Craigo (16) saw Bare on 64 for 4 but then Gorst's (4/25) late swing proved too much to the Bare middle order. France (1/7) came to finish Bare for a measly 98. A point that Jack was 41 short of his target!
Bare got off to a good start as the Albon (2/41) and Nev show started with pace and catching! Copsey (2/8) was also accurate and proved difficult to play as 13/3 became 39/4. France (43) then went nuts crashing the ball to all parts aided by Chamberlin (26). On field falling out from Bare was not a good sign. Oz (1/21) and White (1/10) got late wickets but it proved too little to late as Scott (8 not out) and Capstick (10 not out) saw Ingleton over the line. One game to go and with Westgate 'A' at home, a better performance is needed. Right, Iron Brew and John Smiths here we come!!!
