Side Claim First League Win

By Adam Dennehey

Barkingside won 1-0 away at Sporting Bengal United yesterday, finally earning their first league win of the season in the process.

The victory, our first after 21 league games, came thanks to Darnell Goather-Braithwaite's winner on 78 minutes.

It came after a good display from the team, and now means 'Side have won back-to-back games the first time this season, after our cup success away to Leyton Athletic in midweek.

Alex Goldstone's outfit are now 5 points behind 19th placed Leyton, with the team next being in action at home to Tower Hamlets on Tuesday 4th January. Kick-off for that match is at 7:45pm.
