Elbi Strike Denies Side

A late Brentwood equaliser denied 'Side their second home win of the season after the Sky Blues had fought back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2.

Barkingside were denied a second home win of the season by a late Brentwood equaliser at Oakside, despite Sky Blues turning a two-goal deficit around on its head.

Brentwood had the better of the 1st half and eventually took the lead when Steven Carvell took advantage of some poor defending to put the Essex side in front midway through the first half but the lead was doubled 4minutes later when Carvell was left unmarked and rounded Dan Mulrooney to score.

Barkingside pressed and pressed and scored a vital goal right on half time when Toran Senghore nodded in his first for the club. Aaron Scott headed home an equaliser from a set piece 8minutes after the restart. Senghore then completed the comeback with his second of the game.

However Sky Blues couldnt hang on when Petrit Elbi scored a sublime freekick with 9minutes to go.
