Side Win At Tilbury

Barkingside bounced back from their 5-0 mauling by VCD to win 2-1 at an out of form Tilbury.

The Londoners took the lead through the in-form Andy Edmunds who slotted home with a cool finish after some neat build up play from Calvin Poku.

Three minutes later Aaron Scott rose in the penalty box and headed home from a corner. That made it 2-0 to 'Side and a perfect first-half.

Barkingside were unlucky not to go 3 up when Calvin Poku and Brian Suchley both hit the bar but the Dockers hit back through Danny Adewinkle with 15 minutes left

Tilbury laid siege to the Barkingside goal late on but Chris Clark made some good saves as the lads held on for a vital 3 points. The result moved 'Side up to 15th in the table.
