After entering a strong display against champions The New Saints, Barry Town United captain James Sadder said he believed his team had completed its "bedding-in process" in the JD Welsh Premier League.
"We know what to expect now in terms of physicality, we know how to set up now.
"I think we're starting to gel as a team again".
Taking positives from their narrow 1-0 defeat, Saddler commented "I think tonight proved that we can play against very very good players.
"Structurally we set up very well and at times they struggled to break us down.
"I think second half we started to play a bit free-er and we certainly created a few chances".
