The game started off on an even footing, with Paul Walker firing a shot wide for the visitors before Matt Stenson’s cross failing to find a green shirt.
Farsley broke the deadlock on 27 minutes when Nathan Cartman tapped in a spilled ball from Liam Castle.
Just seven minutes later, Barwell scored in similar fashion as Matt Stenson swept home a parry from close range to make the scores level.
Farsley looked lacklustre as they started the second half and were punished soon after the break when Brady Hickey headed home Eddy Nisevic’s cross from the left.
With twenty minutes left to play, Adam Clayton nodded home from a corner to equalise but Brady Hickey made it 3-2 with another header from just outside the six yard box.
Farsley threw defender Danny Ellis up front in search of an equaliser, and looked as if they would create openings through Clayton and Ellis.
With one minute to go, they salvaged a late equaliser as Farsley capitalised on a slip from Declan Towers to square the ball to Paul Walker, who rolled it home.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Jake Heath had a chance to win it but fired his effort over at the back post.
The game was over, as Farsley went on the attack and broke Barwell hearts when Nathan Turner converted the winner.
