Bodorgan gain 3 points!

By

Connolly hat-trick does the damage.

The first quarter saw Bodorgan spurn several chances. Cemaes keeper Peter Finn was kept busy as he did well to keep Allaway out on 2 occasions in the opening minutes of the match, further chances were missed before the home side were stunned. Striker Ryan Rowlands picked up the ball and from 30 yards out he hit a stunning shot into the top corner firing Cemaes ahead 0-1 on 20 minutes. A quick response is what Bodorgan needed and they got it as Danny Connolly ran through finishing well into the bottom corner 3 minutes after the opener 1-1. The remainder of the half was scrappy with neither team troubling the keepers, a Sam Hallas long throw lead to Aron Edwards low shot saved by Finn the only real chance. Half Time 1-1. Early into the second half Bodorgan were awarded a penalty after a handball in the box and Connolly made no mistake with a confident strike putting us 2-1 ahead on 49 minutes. The visitors were putting more pressure on Bodorgan and it soon told as Rowlands was quick off the mark to beat keeper Josh Roberts to the ball and slot the ball home for 2-2 with 25 minutes remaining. A couple of half chances came and went for the home side before a powerful Danny Connolly shot was parried out for Luke Allaway to tap in on 74 minutes 3-2. Cemaes Bay now took the game to Bodorgan and missed chances to equalize with Roberts making a good save to deny Owain Griffiths and Liam Rodriguez shot just wide. The eventually got their reward as substitute Jordan Williams was clumsy in the box to gift Cemaes a penalty and Rowlands dispatched for 3-3 on 81 minutes. A draw was looking to be the outcome until a long throw from Sam Hallas was met at the back post by Connolly on the volley to send Bodorgan 4-3 up in the 87th minute. The final action came and Williams made amends for his earlier mistake with a fantastic block as Bodorgan held on for a big 3 points. Fantastic entertaining game with Ryan Rowlands impressive for Cemaes and Danny Connolly Bodorgan man of the match.
