Juniors master elements!

Solid performance wins points!
The Juniors visited Cemaes on a windy rainy afternoon. The Juniors went upfield first half and against a strong wind. On 4 minutes Ryan Rowlands fired a shot wide but the Juniors replied as Connolly fired wide on 10 minutes. The wind started to play a part as Cemaes gained the initiative and fired shots goal wards and on 16 minutes Owain Griffiths shot goal wards but Keeper Roberts was equal to the effort and saved well. On 20 minutes Parry had a long range effort for the Juniors which went wide. From a free kick Gardiner for the Juniors headed wide but back came Cemaes and Liam Rodriguez fired in a good effort which Roberts again saved. On 38 minutes Connolly rounded the keeper for the Juniors but his effort was saved on the goal line. Soon after Allaway went close on 40 minutes. On 42 minutes Hallas went close for the Juniors again Cemaes came forward but Deio Rowlands fired over. Half Time 0v0 The Juniors had weathered the gale force wind by playing neat football on the floor and by solid defending. In the second half the Juniors had the elements and on 47 minutes from a Hallas cross Connolly headed in. Connolly followed this with a couple of efforts fired wide of goal. On 58 minutes Gardiner struck a good effort which just missed. On 64 minutes Hallas again went close but Cemaes kept going with Ryan Rowlands leading the line well. Gardiner went close again on 66 minutes as the Juniors tried to kill the game off. Parry and Hallas then went close but keeper Finn saved well. Cemaes tried to gain an equalizer but the Juniors defence was solid. On 84 minutes Parry fired wide for the Juniors and that was the final chance for both teams as both struggled to gain a goal to settle the match either way but the Juniors managed to keep Cemaes at bay in their own defence for the dying minutes. Full time 0v1.
The Juniors gave a solid performance with Aron Owen and Hallas solid in midfield whilst the defence secured a blank score line for once. For Cemaes who showed plenty of endeavour Ryan Rowlands shone.
