Top Notch

Buckingham welcomed newly promoted Littlemore who languish at the foot of the league table. The crowd was boosted by a large contingent who had enjoyed the fine Chairman’s lunch and were now looking forward to a feast of tries. Thus it proved to be as the home side rattled up a total of 14 tries without reply.
From the kick off the omens did not bode well for the visitors as the kick was not 10 metres and at the scrum on half way following a back row move and a strong run from the winger who off loaded to his support, Pat Ockendon dived over the line to score.
Jak Cluness crafted the next score after a typically strong run. Ed Kinman converted the extras.
Following strong work by Jamie Lee who was in dominant form throughout the match Will Gurney touched down after a kick chase in the far corner.
Further tries followed for Jamie Lee, Will Gurney, Jamie Temple and Tyler Green before crowd favourite Mat Payne galloped from 22 metres out after intercepting a poor Littlemore pass. Will Ashton on debut completed the scoring in the first half and fine kicking by Ed Kinman meant that the half time score stood at Buckingham 50 Littlemore 0.

The second half saw continued spirited resistance from the visitors, in particular the loose head prop and scrum half. It was however only a matter of time before further scores arrived. Wingers Will Gurney and Will Ashton adding to their earlier scores. Joe Kayla completed a fine run to score ensuring a clean sweep of scores for all front three forwards.
Further tries were added by Jamie Lee, Pat Ockendon and Will Ashton.

Littlemore should be commended for their resilience and commitment and we wish them well in what is proving a difficult season.
