Richmond went into the Saturday Easter break weekend having to play two games against opposition from the lower end of the table.
These games usually cannot be taken for granted but as it turned out Richmond gained the maximum point's and had an
unbelievable scoreline on the Easter monday game.
The Walney Island encounter ended 3.1. to Richmond with a twist of luck from the opposition in the form of 2 o.g's.
To be fair the home side had been putting pressure on the Walney defence for most of the game so it came as no surprise.
Walney scored against the run of play to make it 1.1. but it wasn't long before the big striker Murt made it 2.1. the third Richmond
goal to seal the game, another o.g.after sustained Richmond pressure.
Chris Clandon, the players were left in no doubt at full time that the seconmd half performance was not acceptable. 1st half we played some great football creating many chances however didnt take the chances to kill the game before the break. We controlled the game throughout but must improve the second half display. At this time of year though a wins a win, we move on to Monday and another crucial game.
