CUPFC fought back from 2 - 0 down to claim a much-needed point vs Lakenheath Reserves at the Cass.
Playing only their second match in the past 6 weeks as a result of postponements due to the weather, the Reserves were keen to put in a solid display and pick up a victory. It was nearly 40 minutes until CUP really got going though, allowing the visitors to take a 2 - 0 lead and waste a few other chances. A sublime freekick from Batesy reduced the arrears ahead of half time.
2nd half it was the hosts who were on top, without little to show for their improved performance as a couple of good chances went begging, until a lovely through ball from Callum was finished calmly by Ryan T to equalise with 6 minutes to go.
The draw moves the Reserves up 2 places to 11th in the Senior B table.
The 1st team had a Saturday off; instead they host Fulbourn Institute at the Cass tomorrow night, a 6.15pm kick off for this local derby in the Kershaw Premier.
