Under 18 Girls

Age Grade Rugby

The purpose of age-grade rugby at Chester is for youngsters to have fun, to teach the fundamental skills and understanding of rugby, to contribute to their personal development and to motivate them to play rugby in adulthood.

First and foremost, it is a developmental tool in preparation for playing and enjoying participating in rugby regularly as an adult – irrespective of where and at what level that may be.
Adapted from the RFU Age Grade Good Practice Working Group Report, March 2017.

Our age group is for girls who are aged 16 and 17 years, in school years 12 and 13. Our focus is on developing players’ skills, as they learn new aspects of the game each season.

Our coaches are all DBS checked and have completed the England Rugby Coaching Award.

We train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 7 pm, we also play matches on Sundays in the afternoon.

We look to give all our players lots of opportunity to play rugby, throughout the season by attending various festivals and pitch up and play events around the county.

Anyone is welcome to come and try rugby with us. If you would like to find out more, please contact;
