Well done to everyone on last week’s performance and win - lots of positives and some excellent tries including a hat trick from Jon Devereaux and two from Rhys Thomas. I think we all know there are a few areas we can improve to make us more effective on both sides of the ball. However it’s a good position to be in to score over 50 points and be able to say that!
We struggled a little in the scrum but a few hours before the game, we were thinking that we may not be able to field a front row so thanks from everyone to the guys who stepped up there!
In attack we were able to move the ball to the spaces really well and generally made good decisions. When we got into those spaces, our runners were more than a match for them. The only thing which held us back was our ability to secure consistent quick ball.
Defensively we were a lot better than the first game although our intensity and line speed probably dropped a little since last week.
Finally, massive congratulations to Man of the Match Sam Breary, who had a superb game. Take a bow Sam!
