The thoughts of manager Craig Hayward;

"A strange old game this one!
For me, our worst performance of the season so far yet a convincing win.
PNS were by far the better side for the first 30 as we just didn't get going and they dominated possession and were first to every first and second ball.
As the half went on we slowly showed signs of coming to life but it took for us to go in front from a set piece to really get going. A great delivery from Liam Stone was headed in by Jack Bartley at the near post on 37 mins.
For the next few minutes we created numerous chances and arguably should have been out of sight by the half.
HT 1-0 but massive improvement needed.
A few wise words at half time and the lads stepped it up. We were 2-0 up 4 minutes into the 2nd half a fine cross from youngster Ed Noy was taken down brilliantly by Bartley who turned his man and slotted home. Just minutes later another fine set piece delivery by Stone was flicked in by the returning Tyreke Wilson. We continued to dominate at this point and Ali Duncan raced clear to finish just after the hour mark.
PNS to their credit caused us quite a few problems and really went for it to get back in the game and deservedly got a goal for their efforts.
A lot to take from this one. We know we have a lot to work on but with so many new faces due to lads stepping up to first team and a lot of injuries in the squad it was never going to be easy but again we showed a top reaction second half to give us a convincing 3 points.
We host Raunds on Tuesday where we look to push on and know we must improve!
Good luck to PNS until we meet again."
