2 Nomads players represent Wales under 18s away to Republic of Ireland

By Jay Catton

Under 19s Jordan Beck and Shaun Tinsley earn Welsh caps in two one victory away in Wexford, Ireland.

Both players enjoyed a three day trip to Ireland which included a training camp and fixture against the Republic of Ireland national team.

Shaun Tinsley started at the back for the side and was the only player retained from the previous squad and earned his second international cap.

Tinsley put in an outstanding performance at the back and playing alongside fellow North East Wales defender Daniel Gibbons were solid through out.

Jordan Beck came on early in the second half and played thirty five minutes and was superb at left back. The young defender got forward well and was great in possession of the ball which is vital at this level.

The team was led by former Tottenham and Welsh International Terry Boyle as manager.

I was fortunate enough to be assistant manager for the side for a second time and was delighted, not just for the Nomads boys but for the squad as a whole who were superb through out.

The side trailed the game at half time by a goal to nil before James Stead (Rhyl) scored an equalizer after 60 minutes before a very taleneted Alex Samuel (Aberystwyth) scored a headed winner on 90 minutes.

A great experience and achievement for both Nomads boys who represented the club superbly.
