35th and 36th Nomads Academy Players signed by Football League Clubs

Under 14 centre back Daniel Lloyd has been an ever present in Dale Johnson and Matt Griffith's side since joining last season. A strong centre back with very good distribution who has caught the eyes of a number of clubs during his time with us.

After a six week trial with Shrewsbury Town he signed for the league one club before the Christmas period and we wish Dan all the best at the club. We thank Alex Ramsay at Shrewsbury Town also for the great communication and updates through out this process.

To follow from this great news we were informed under 12 midfielder/defender Matthew Senior has been successful following his trial at league one category three academy set up Bury FC.

After being spotted by the club following our game against Bury at The Quay 3G Matty was highlighted and selected based on a very good performance against the club.

An outstanding young man who has developed massively since joining the academy over two seasons ago. A great attitude and desire to learn and improve and we wish him like Dan all the best. Again we thank in particular Graham Hastings at Bury who has been great support in communication and feedback for club, player and parents through out the trial process.

As always a huge well done to coaches Leighton Sumner and Jordan Mapp-Jones (U12) along with Dale Johnson and Matt Griffiths (U14) who have worked directly with both players this season and aided their development.

Remarkably these players take Nomads Academy players onto professional clubs up to 36, which we hope will continue to rise this campaign with a number currently trialling with a number of football league and premier league clubs across the North West.
