Academy Team of the Week - Monday 5th February 2018

This weeks academy team of the week has been announced following big week of action for the our young sides.

Huge well done as always to this weeks winners and to U9 coach Craig Griffiths for pulling the story together.

U8 - Jayden Smyth

Put in a terrific shift against a strong Ashville u9s in CM and ST. Well taken hat trick to add to some great link up play. Well done Jayden. (Jamie Wynne U8 Coach)

U9 - No Game

U10 - Leo Heath

Leo finally finding his rhythm again after a few months Injury coming out with 2 quality performances against Ewloe U11’s and in Futsal Saturday, Good to see Leo back playing with a smile on his face, Long May it continue. Well Done. (Ben Nash U10 Coach)

U11 - James Hawkins

James works hard in every training session, and this Saturday at futsal he played with confidence with some good individual and group play. (Jason Bell U11 Coach)

U12 - Connor Parry

Connor was superb today with his desire to work back for the team, attitude to getting on the ball and retaining it as much as possible. Topped of with a stunning finish. (Leighton Sumner U12 Coach)

U13 - Will Nash

Excellent performance from LB, had real energy from that position and stepped in from defence many a time!! Very solid on the other side of the coin providing stability in the back line!! (Daniel Mapp-Jones U13 Coach)

U14 - Dyfan Thomas

Didn’t put a foot wrong at the back today strong in all areas as well as putting the team on the front foot on many occasions driving our from the back , another fine performance.. well done Dyfan. (Dale Johnson U14 Coach)

U15 - Adam Gunnery

Adam was Superb today in the 6 position played some great forward passes and broke up play. Topped of his performance with a great top corner Finnish from 25 yards. Well done Adam. (Anthony Weaver U15 Coach)

U16 - Lewis Yeates

Qas outstanding again in midfield, played with real desire and drove the team forward second half in what was a tough tight top of the table fixture vs Bangor City. Made a crucial tackle and goal line clearance in what was a exceptional captains performance. Well done Lewis.

U18 - Cameron Ramsey

Really stepped up in last 3 games and worked well to create many chances v Rhosllanergrugog. Scored the 1st and assisted the 3rd to help 18s go top of the league. Well done. (Kevin Manley U18 Coach)

U19 - Tom Bridges

Anchored the midfield and allowed us to play out of defence. Kept the ball moving and brought the attack into the game. Well done Tom. (Daniel Reece U19 Coach)

Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Scholars A - Dom McHugh

Scored and got an assist in a tough game away in Salford. Gave the team a lot of energy and drive. Well done Dom. (Daniel Reece Scholars A Coach)

2 Wins and 1 defeat for Academy Cup sides Our U12, U14 and U16 sides played their first Super Six Academy Cup games of 2018 with games vs Bangor City and Bala Town.
Re Arranged - Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Scholarship Open Evening 2018-2020 Monday 26th February 2018 we will be hosting our open evening for next seasons Academy Scholarship Programme in partnership with Coleg Cambira.
