By Jay Catton

Following another great week of action for our sides this weeks team of the week has been announced.

Under 8 – Jayden Smith

Dragged us back into the game being 3-0 down scoring a 15 yard screamer, then finished off the scoring with a thumping header into the top corner completing the comeback. (James Duff U8 Coach)

Under 9 – Jake Barlow

Jake produced some absolute fantastic saves against Crewe on Friday evening earning himself a trial there. His distribution and talking at the back was also excellent, well done Jake. (Craig Griffiths U9 Coach)

Under 10 – Ben Cronshaw

Cronny was back to his best with 2 top performances against Tranmere and Rhyl respectively.
Playing in a new position against Rhyl and scoring a brilliant goal that included making an off the ball run, beating his man and shooting into the far left corner from 15 yards.(Ben Nash U10 Coach)

Under 11 – Curtis Cook

A poor performance from the team today, well beaten by a strong rhyl team but good to see 2 under10s step up and play with such confidence,Curtis Cooke fully deserving the man of the match award.(Craig Griffiths U9 Coach)

Under 12 – Matthew Senior

Outstanding game at the centre of defence, in the sides 4-3 win at home to Newtown. Set off a number of attacks with his great composure and passing of the ball from the back, leading superbly through out with great communication and leadership qualities. Huge well done Matty. (Jay Catton)

Under 13 – Ben Hesketh

Ben was phenomenal in a very tight game at Rhyl on Sunday morning, putting in a number of last ditch challenges and starting our attacks with some great balls into our midfield and wingers. (Daniel Mapp-Jones U13 Coach)

Under 14 – Owen Czerniak

Strong performance from Owen , not feeling 100% showed great attitude and composure throughout a very difficult game , very disciplined in the holding role. (Dale Johnson U14 Coach)

Under 15– Jack James

Jack played in a more advanced role today playing as a 9 and linked play really well he was always a constant threat. Scored two fantastic goals also. (Anthony Weaver U15 Coach)

Under 16 – Elliott Evans

Great performance from Elliott away at Druids capped off with a well taken penalty (Mark Rowlands U16 Coach)

Academy Scholars B – Junior Scott

Outstanding at RB and equally so when played in central midfield on a tight pitch. Made good decisions and constantly caused the opposition problems with his range of passing and willingness to make excellent forward runs.(Iain Bennett Academy Scholars Coach)

Academy Scholars A– Dominic McHugh

Excellent performance and was a constant threat. Finished the game with a hatrick.(Daniel Reece Academy Scholars Coach)

[b]Under 18 – Dawson Butcher

Came on 2nd half at CB and didn't put a foot wrong. Every decision was mature one, read the game brilliantly and didn’t let Flint mountain have a decent chance 2nd half. (Matt Sampson U18 Coach)
