Academy Training Times Information

At Nomads Academy we are always striving to improve and progress from first team level all the way down to our under 8s academy side.

Following review of the season to date and the clubs plans and ambitions going forward we have felt small changes to our program were needed and will aid us long term.

All sides U8-U19 will now train for one hour and thirty minutes every Monday at the following times:

Monday Academy Training Times at The Quay 3G

Academy Scholars - 16:00-17:30

U8, U9, U10, U12 - 17:30-19:00

U11, U13, U14- 19:00-20:30

U15 and U16 - 20:30-22:00

This will mean slightly reduced space on The Quay 3G for a number of sides but we feel the increase in contact time is a bigger benefit to combat this.

Thursday evenings will also see an extra half an hour added to our Coerver Curriculum program at Deeside Leisure Centre.

U8-U12 Thursday sessions will now be 17:00-18:30 with optional Academy 1:1s at 16:15-17:00.

Mandatory one and a half hours again on a Thursday for our U8-U12 sides with option of a further forty five minutes of individual work also.

Ulitmately our Academy sides U8-U12 will be going from two hours a week to three.

Our U13-U16 sides will remain at The Quay 3G on a Thursday evening at their same training times including:

U13 and U14 - 19:00-20:00
U15 and U16 - 20:00-21:00

We are currently finalising a strength and conditioning program for these four age groups which will see sides train for an hour conditioning work prior to training also.

These conditioning sessions for U13-U16 sides will not be in place to start this week but hopefully ready to kick off on Thursday 9th February.

I'm sure all parents and players will be excited by these changes and increase in training times which will aid all players long term development.
