So the season started this evening home to Wrexham, We knew going into the game that we were in for a great game as Wrexham have a very good side but we had to improve on our last game we played wrexham when we lost 7-2 back in January, things didn't go to play as 20 seconds on the clock and Wrexham were 1-0 after after our goalkeeper was hesitant on the ball and the Wrexham striker found himself with an open goal to put Wrexham 1-0 up. The first 10/12 mins we thought Wrexham were excellent in possession and passed the ball round really well but went creating much chances and was abit of a cagey game. Then we started getting into the game and started creating many chances of our own and only for the Wrexham keeper to make a few good saves to keep his team with the lead, and take it into the break. We come out 2nd period and thought we looked the better and had numerous chances to score but failed infront of goal, we made a few changes halfway through and unsettled us a little bit and conceded 2 goals in 2 mins, 1 a fantastic bicycle kick from the Wrexham player to find the back of the net and another sloppy goal from our view and Wrexham were some how 3-0 up and they didn't even look like scoring. The boys tried and were still creating the better chances but couldn't find the back of the net, 3rd period and more of the same from us, chance after chance went begging but it just wouldn't happen tonight for our boys in front of goal but me and Jason can take many positives from that performance as it's the best we've seen the boys play and we felt the scoreline flattered Wrexham in our opinion. Was a great game to watch and we look forward to playing Wrexham in the near future
Player of the match was awarded to Blake Rigby,
We hope we can take that performance into tomorrow's game at rhyl
