Airbus 10s take bragging rights

This morning Airbus were the visitors to the Quay 3G,
Going into the match we knew this would be a great game for us as Airbus are tough opposition and was a great game 3 weeks ago when we defeated them at there place 3-2.
1st period kicked off and we kept possession well and created chance after chance but without scoring and not really testing the Airbus keeper, we limited Airbus to a few chances in the period. Nomads could have been 4-0 Up in the period but failed to even hit the target from really good positions. Blake Rigby hitting the bar wirh a header and that's as close as we got to a goal in the 1st period, 
2nd period and I felt this was Airbus best period as they really come at us, they made a few changes just like ourselves but they come out the traps quicker, sharper and hungrier than nomads and totally dominated the 2nd period, halfway through the 2nd period a Airbus player took a shot that looked like it wasn't really going to bother our keeper but wil  smith tried to header the ball away only to deflect the ball in the opposite direction and the ball found the bottom corner and there was nothing our keeper Lewis Blundell could do about it and Airbus took the lead 1-0. We tried getting back into the game but Airbus pressed well and we created little chances, it was total opposite from the 1st half and the period ended 0-1.
We had a little chat with the boys about the way we were playing and we went out a different team in the 3rd period and it was attack after attack but again without scoring when maybe we should of, alot of credit also goes to Airbus as they defended really well to keep the lead and they had a really good chance themselves 5 mins before the end when the Airbus winger took a shot only for it to go just wide of the post, with 30 seconds to go we attacked for the last time in the game and the ball some how spun in the area and found Connor Dean clean through on goal and only the keeper to beat Connor shot the ball wide of the post from close range and the bragging rights went to Airbus this time and we wish them all the best for the season ahead.

Overall we played very well up until the final 3rd but it just wasn't to be in Front of goal, Nomads had dominated the 1st and 3rd period and Airbus dominated the 2nd period and got the goal they deserved in the period and defended the lead well until the end.
